MW Studio is a textiles screen print studio ran by Meredith Wood in London. Meredith is focused on transforming the Textile & Fashion Industry away from the unethical and environmentally harmful practices currently used. She has been developing a range of natural screen printing inks to help detoxify the screen printing process since 2019. These have been featured in Colour Hive’s CMF forecast for AW 2022/23.
Despite being primarily a textile screen print studio, MW Studio looks into the wider Textile & Fashion industry that we are a part of. This often takes the form of research, how can we create fashion without harming people and the planet? These questions are explored within books, documentaries and films that MW have been a part of. Meredith’s research into the use of plastic within the fashion industry has been featured in Westfields ‘Future Fashion’ exhibition, launched during London Fashion Week 2021.
